Ricardo Villadiego (RV) is a seasoned entrepreneur and visionary technology leader focused on cybersecurity. His last 20 years have been spent in the quest of solving some of the most prevalent cybersecurity challenges organizations face. RV founded Easy Solutions, a global organization focused on the prevention and detection of electronic fraud. Subsequently, RV led the cybersecurity business unit at Cyxtera Technologies, where he developed a long-term vision and execution plan. His passion for technology and cybersecurity have triggered yet another venture, and he created Lumu Technologies with a clear objective: help organizations detect compromises at speed.

Along his career, Ricardo has held various leadership positions at IBM, Internet Security Systems and Unisys Corporation. He is an Electrical Engineer, avid reader, relentlessly curious, technology enthusiast, who currently lives in South Florida with his family.

Julián Arguelles brings more than 15 years of experience in software service delivery and operations management in the cybersecurity industry. At Lumu, Julián is responsible for enabling the business with the tools and resources needed to execute at light-speed and ensuring customer success. Previously, Julián served as Co-founder and VP of Global Operations at Easy Solutions and Cyxtera, where he and his team delivered more than 100 complex projects across the globe, and helped financial institutions prevent $3.6 billion in losses from emerging threats.

Julián is an industrial engineer, an ever-optimist, an agile problem-solver, who enjoys exploring the world with his wife and two daughters, and is passionate about social issues.

As Chief Product Officer at Lumu Technologies, Javier Vargas leads the company’s product strategy and innovation, ensuring Lumu continues to redefine cybersecurity by delivering solutions that drive global adoption. With 15 years of experience building cutting-edge software products, Javier brings a deep understanding of how to transform ideas into impactful, market-leading solutions.

Javier began his career as a technician and software developer, progressing into leadership roles in research and development. Before joining Lumu, he held key positions at Easy Solutions and Cyxtera, where he led research initiatives and contributed significantly to product innovation. Throughout his career, Javier has built and led high-performing teams, fostering cultures centered on collaboration, transparency, and execution excellence.

Passionate about technology and education, Javier believes innovation creates meaningful change and actively mentors teams and communities globally.

Passionate about the power of words, Maria Lobato is the driving force behind Lumu’s positioning, marketing strategy and execution. As CMO, Maria leads a team of relentless doers whose focus is to cater to a buyer-driven journey, build engaging and influential experiences, and make Lumu the de-facto method for compromise detection. Maria previously served as VP of Cybersecurity Marketing at Cyxtera, as well as Director of Marketing at Easy Solutions, overseeing all of the marketing functions related to the organization’s Zero Trust and Total Fraud Protection offerings, respectively.

Maria holds an M.B.A. from Florida International University, brings her energetic self to regular yoga classes, enjoys beach days with family, and “mind over matter” is her mantra.

Fabio Betancourt has spent more than a decade working in senior financial leadership roles within the cybersecurity industry. As Chief Financial Officer at Lumu, Fabio oversees the company’s financial reporting and performance, accounting operations, and investor relations, supporting Lumu’s continued growth and global expansion. He brings a disciplined, strategic approach to financial management, helping align operational execution with long-term business objectives.

Throughout his career, Fabio has partnered closely with executive teams to scale organizations, improve financial visibility, and support decision-making in high-growth environments. His experience in the cybersecurity sector provides him with a strong understanding of the financial and operational dynamics of technology-driven businesses.

Outside of work, Fabio is an avid photographer and reader, and he enjoys exploring the diverse landscapes of the United States on his adventure motorcycle.
